The week each person actually works
A day’s holiday means something different for someone on four days than for someone on a standard week. Set the pattern on the employee so leave and timesheets use that week.

Patterns you can set
| Pattern | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Standard week | The usual office pattern, so a day’s leave is one of those working days. |
| Part-time | Fewer days or shorter days. Holiday allowance should follow the contract, not a full-time default. |
| Shifts or compressed hours | The expected hours that timesheets can compare against what was logged. |
