Complete guide to accessing, completing, and managing training modules in CitoHR.

Overview

The Training feature allows employees to access assigned training modules, track their progress, and complete required training. Administrators can create training modules, assign them to employees, and monitor completion rates.

Prerequisites

  • You must be logged in to your CitoHR account
  • Training modules must be assigned to you by an administrator or manager

Accessing Your Training

  1. Log in to your CitoHR account
  2. Click on Training in the main navigation menu
  3. You'll see a list of all training modules assigned to you

Viewing Training Modules

See all your assigned training:

  1. On the Training page, you'll see a list of all training modules
  2. Each training module shows:
    • Training name and description
    • Status badge (Planned, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled, or Failed)
    • Due date (if applicable)
    • Progress indicator (percentage complete)
    • Completion date (if completed)
  3. Use the filter dropdown to view:
    • All training
    • Planned only
    • In Progress only
    • Completed only
    • Overdue only

Starting a Training Module

Begin a new training module:

  1. Find the training module you want to start in your list
  2. Click on the training name or the "Start Training" button
  3. The training module will open in a new view
  4. Read the introduction and overview if provided
  5. Click "Begin" or "Start" to proceed

Completing a Training Module

Work through the training content:

  1. Navigate through the training content:
    • Use "Next" button to move to the next section
    • Use "Previous" button to go back
    • Use the progress bar or navigation menu to jump to specific sections
  2. Read all content carefully:
    • Read text content thoroughly
    • Watch any embedded videos (use play/pause controls)
    • Review any images or diagrams
    • Complete any interactive exercises
  3. If there's a quiz or assessment:
    • Answer all questions
    • Review your answers before submitting
    • You may need to achieve a minimum score to pass (check the requirements)
  4. Once you've completed all sections, click "Complete Training" or "Mark as Complete"
  5. If there's a final assessment, you must pass it before the training can be marked complete

Viewing Training Details

Get more information about a training module:

  1. Click on a training module in your list
  2. The training details panel will open showing:
    • Full description
    • Duration estimate
    • Due date
    • Assigned by (who assigned this training)
    • Status and progress
    • Completion date (if completed)
    • Certificate (if available after completion)
  3. Click outside the panel or press Escape to close

Downloading Training Certificates

Get your completion certificate:

  1. Complete a training module that offers certificates
  2. Open the training details
  3. Look for the "Download Certificate" button
  4. Click the button to download your certificate as a PDF
  5. Save the certificate to your device

Creating a Training Module (Admin)

Set up a new training module:

  1. Navigate to Admin in the main navigation
  2. Click on Training in the admin menu
  3. Click the "Create Training" or "New Training Module" button
  4. Fill in the basic information:
    • Training Name - Enter a descriptive name
    • Description - Add a detailed description of what the training covers
    • Category - Select a category (if applicable)
    • Duration - Estimated time to complete (optional)
  5. Add training content:
    • Click "Add Section" to add content sections
    • For each section, add:
      • Section title
      • Text content
      • Images or videos (if needed)
      • Interactive elements (if applicable)
    • Use drag handles to reorder sections
  6. Configure training settings:
    • Required - Mark if training is mandatory
    • Passing Score - Minimum score needed to pass (if there's an assessment)
    • Issue Certificate - Enable if you want to issue certificates upon completion
  7. Click "Save Training" or "Create Training"

Assigning Training to Employees (Admin)

Assign training modules to employees:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Training
  2. Find the training module you want to assign
  3. Click the "Assign" button next to the training
  4. In the assignment dialog:
    • Select employees from the list (use checkboxes to select multiple)
    • Or use the search bar to find specific employees
    • Set a due date (optional)
    • Add any special instructions (optional)
  5. Click "Assign Training" to complete
  6. Selected employees will receive a notification about the assigned training

Assign training modules to individual employees or groups

Tracking Training Progress (Admin/Managers)

Monitor employee training completion:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Training
  2. Click on a training module to view its details
  3. Scroll to the "Assigned Employees" section
  4. You'll see a list showing:
    • Employee name
    • Status (Planned, In Progress, Completed, etc.)
    • Progress percentage
    • Due date
    • Completion date (if completed)
  5. Use filters to view:
    • All employees
    • Only completed
    • Only in progress
    • Only overdue
